R4J Cattle, LLC has been in business and serving Northern Colorado community since April 2005.  Goal - Build Better Beef!  Deeper culling to keep better genetics in our herd. What do we mean by deeper culling – spring of 2011 R4J sold its entire herd and started from scratch searching for a handful of replacement females with genetic quality’s we felt would lead us in a direction for developing “Better Beef”.
 
Look at the Red Angus EPD graph, each area is important in some way to developing “Better Beef”.  What causes one EPD category to be more important over another one of these EPD ratings?  Customer’s - what do our potential customers want in the cattle they will purchase from R4J, that is what we ask ourselves in an effort to produce seed and replacement stock that will ensure a genetic trait that will help a producer in its efforts to produce a quality beef product.
